There are a lot of good suggestions and we will make sure to include the different types of dashboards. It becomes an interesting concept when we can bundle predefined dashboards specific to the recon type and that's evident with the ATM suggestions.
some of the most common dashboards that I am asked about:
1. Operational Dashboards; outstanding items count and totals, overview of the reconciliation landscape, drill down to outstanding items for accounts, what is in proof and out of proof.
2. Statistical Dashboards; a view of each reconciliation auto matched, proposed, manual matched and outstanding items
3. Aging, different aging of outstanding items for different types of recs. could take it one more level, to show the aging of outstanding card items, disputes and chargeback aging.
4. MIS Dashboards, Management view of their teams, and who is doing what and the workload ... etc.
5. ATM, view of the different error codes, and the frequency per machine, identification of the ATMs that cause most errors or exceptions, alerts as we know them today could be helpful in this as well.
We are currently investigating this and are working with another FIS on a POC to re-utilize their dashboarding layer. The high level plan at the moment is to create publishable dashboards that can be subscribed to, which would include predefined widgets, categorized based on their purpose e.g. Data management, team management, Nostro reconciliation etc. The idea behind predefined widgets is that we can a create more powerful dashboarding layer, than what we have today, and this will allow us to expand the types of dashboards that we can view e.g. data processed through Integration Framework services. The other main concept is the idea around publish and subscribing is to move away from the current user focused setup, this will make the dashboards more accessible and provide a standardized view of the data.
Do you have any specific dashboards/widgets/requirements that you feel we should be considering?
Thanks Bashar,
