Recon Inventory Migration tool works perfectly fine for setup of continuous model with one company and one view within specific context. However, if we have multiple views with in one company then this migration tool is not working properly. There are some business scenarios where one company need to have multiple views in one context. In this case we need to set multiple continuous model. At present, we can't use rec inventory migration tool for migrate it into Nextgen UI. We need to create it manually in NextGen UI. It will be better if migration tool will support this as well.
Hi Andrew, there are two scenarios where current recon Inventory migration tool will not work to migrate configuration from classic to Next Gen.
1. Multiple views setup within one company in classic version because we have different type of continuous reconciliation data within one company. e.g. FIS vs Bank Of America and FIS vs HSBC matching recon is setup in one company called FIS in IntelliMatch. Both reconciliation is having different column view for matching and viewing purpose. This is multiple models with their respective view linked to FIS company in IntelliMatch.
2. Multiple views setup within one company because of different type of data. e.g for Nostro Recon we have one view specific to matching, one view specific to GL Posting and another view specific to Interest calculation. All these refer to same set of core data but different view because of different workflow. Here we should have one model with different view as per group filter because of different workflow requirement. Nextgen at present doesn't support one model with multiple view. So ultimately I need to create multiple model as per view referring to same company in IntelliMatch as per existing NextGen solution standard.
Can you provide more examples and more details (user cases). In
the description you are providing - are these multiple models you are trying create? or are you stating that these are really the same model that requires different views (based where the rec is in the process).
